RATINGS
Wondering what your skill level is?
How do I know my skill level?
Have you started playing pickleball, gotten a bit more serious, and are wondering what your skill level is?
Pickleball skill ratings allow a player to quickly assess a competitor, understand their level compared to others, and properly align you against other players of the same level.

In Pickleball, ratings are a system used to categorize players based on their skill level. This system helps in organizing fair and competitive matches, tournaments, and leagues.
Playing against others who generally match your pickleball rating is better for everyone!

What are the pickleball skill levels?

At Pickle Point, you might hear players refer to their ratings, like a 3.0 OR 3.5, or say something like, "I'm a 3.0." These ratings help categorize players based on their skill level, determining the type of play or competition they’ll participate in. But how do players get these ratings? Generally, they’re earned through assessments, club ratings, or performance in tournaments, where your skills are evaluated based on how well you play against others.

At Pickle Point, we currently accept self-ratings or club ratings to match you with players at a similar level for a more enjoyable experience. If you’re unsure about your rating, our coaches are available to assess your game and guide you to the right program, clinic, or lesson.

And excitingly, we’ll soon be launching our own Pickle Point club rating system, providing a more tailored and accurate way of determining your skill level through our club events and competitions. Stay tuned for updates!

To help you determine your self-rating, we’ve provided a helpful guide that will walk you through the process and give you tips on what areas to improve in order to reach the next level!

Hopefully this gives you a good idea of where you're at and where you're aiming for determining pickleball skill ratings.
